The Truth About Justin Bieber’s “Seasons of Changes”

Whether or not you like his music, there’s no denying that Justin Bieber is one of the most famous people on the planet. The Canadian singer-songwriter became a global sensation at a young age, launching his career with a series of YouTube videos that showcased his musical talents. After amassing a large following on the social media platform, Bieber was discovered by talent agent Scooter Braun, who helped him secure his first record deal. Since then, the star has released a number of hit singles and albums, including his 2009 debut album My World and a Christmas release in 2011. He’s also starred in several movies, including 2017’s Purpose and 2021’s Changes.

Despite a string of romantic relationships and occasional skirmishes with the law, Bieber managed to establish himself as an international pop icon by his early 20s. His 2015 album, Purpose, earned him significant success in the United States, with each of its first three singles peaking at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album also helped him earn a spot on the Def Jam label, which sources say makes him the label’s biggest moneymaker.

In recent years, Bieber’s personal life has dominated headlines. He’s been linked to various women, including supermodels Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin. He’s also been involved in multiple legal incidents, including a drag racing incident and a DUI arrest. The star has sought to clean up his act as he entered his 30s, but he’s still made headlines for some of his behavior.

In Seasons, a 10-episode YouTube documentary series that debuted in January 2020, Bieber opens up about his struggle to feel joy and be a functioning human being in the spotlight. In one episode, he and wife Hailey visit a hyperbaric chamber to help with depression. The process forces them to breathe a mix of nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen, which may help counteract the effects of too little serotonin.

Throughout Seasons, it’s clear that the couple has a lot of love for their son, but they struggle with how to balance work and home life. Ultimately, Hailey decides to step away from the spotlight to focus on her family. But even in her absence, Bieber hasn’t lost his adoring fan base. The next chapter of his career begins with the release of his sixth studio album, Justice, which is due out in 2021. Watch the full documentary below.
