Justin Bieber Info – Can He Stay at the Top of the Teen Pop Chart For the Longterm?

Justin Bieber is already a popular pop star in his own right, although not much is riding on his singing ability. The teen pop star is constantly in the lime light, whether it be from bad press, his own popularity or even because of his looks. The boy is fun to be around, smart and adorable on the surface. But do the public love him? The answer may surprise you.

Justin Bieber is only 22 years old but already a major pop star in his own right. He was actually the youngest member of the all time popular boy band One Direction, whose members also included a promising future WWE star, an Academy Award winner and a former WWE Superstar. Imagine the pressure that must have been on him as he walked into that little school and said that he wanted to be a pop star.

For a teen who is considered to be cute by most everyone outside of his family, Justin has some big shoes to fill. Many teens dream of becoming a superstar and walking into a large room filled with screaming teenage girls. Bieber came nowhere close to fulfilling that dream. That may be due to the fact that he is from a smaller town, one where the public is much smaller than say, L.A. or Miami, which means less opportunity to get stage time or even meet the right people to pursue a career in music.

He has tried to break into the music industry though by signing with Interscope Records, which is somewhat of an independent label that is more geared towards recording independent music rather than mainstream hits. Interscope also owns the artist’s music copyright, so they can put their name on the track and can negotiate a larger publishing deal if that is necessary. While this can help, it does not mean that the teen pop star is going to be successful. In fact, Interscope often times attempts to steer their artists away from recording too many mainstream songs and has them focus more on more unique music and new talent.

The problem with Interscope is that they are more geared towards selling records and have little to no room for original songwriters. This is why Justin’s albums have been so hit-and-miss. As well, they have tried several times to sign Justin and even tried putting him on their own label called Jinglela. Nothing has ever worked with the company.

The real question then becomes, will Justin be able to sustain the huge fan base that he has? Some fans are die-hard fans and cannot accept anything less than Justin. Other teens are just tired of Justin being in the spotlight and are ready for someone else to sing his songs. He has yet to prove whether or not he can maintain the level of popularity that he has already achieved. Until we see what his future plans are, Justin Bieber music will continue to soar to the top of the charts.
