A Look at Justin Bieber’s Social Responsibility

Justin Bieber is one of the biggest pop stars in history, with over a hundred million social media followers, sold-out tours and a string of hits. But the Canadian singer hasn’t just wowed audiences with his music — he’s also highlighted societal injustices around the world, visited hospitalized children and soldiers in active duty, and more.

Throughout the early years of his career, Bieber’s celebrity dominated over his musical talents. His romantic relationships (especially with Selena Gomez) and occasional skirmishes with the law brought him considerable tabloid attention. But after finding a steady partner in Hailey Baldwin and his emergence as a wholesome family man, the 27-year-old has taken steps to reclaim his musical identity. He’s put out a series of acclaimed albums (including Purpose in 2015) and collaborations with a variety of musicians, including DJ Khaled, Ed Sheeran, Quavo and Chance the Rapper.

He’s toured with Taylor Swift and embarked on five headlining tours, and appeared on U.S. talk shows like “Good Morning America” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” He’s also been seen on the covers of magazines and in fashion shoots.

While many young teens adored him, Bieber’s image began to tarnish as he entered adulthood. In March 2013, he was accused of spitting on his neighbor, and two months later, residents of his neighborhood in Calabasas, California complained about his speeding. He later apologized for his actions, but the damage was done.

In an effort to reclaim his image, Bieber has started to take more trips away from the spotlight. On a recent trip to Iceland with photographer Chris Burkard, the singer found himself captivated by the country’s oceanside cliffs and glaciers. “The awe-inspiring beauty and natural wonder of this place made me feel connected to something larger than myself,” he wrote on Instagram. “It was a moment to cherish.”

The trip inspired the song “I’ll Show You,” which features an emotional scene with Keaton, who plays Bieber’s grandmother. The video, which was directed by Colin Tilley, was released on Friday and has already racked up more than 3.5 million views on YouTube.

As he continues to travel and explore, the songs on his new album are becoming more reflective of his life experiences. The album, which dropped on Friday, includes an ode to his mother and also includes a song about an experience he had with a fan.

Justice is only his sixth studio album, but the aptly titled release has already marked a turning point for the star. The record label describes it as a “contemporary dance-pop” album, and it’s more introspective than previous efforts. It’s an ambitious project, but he seems to be handling it with ease.

What Is Justin Bieber’s Height?

The pop singer is known to be 5-foot-9. But some sources say he’s actually taller than that. In a video of him next to a few other celebrities, Bieber appears to tower over them all.
